This is a course to teach the basic fundamentals of using the CircuitWorks add-in included with SOLIDWORKS Professional. This allows ECAD systems and SOLIDWORKS to communicate through this translator. PADs, IDF, & IDX files can be converted to 3D models to allow mechanical engineers to incorporate PCB boards and components into their SOLIDWORKS designs.

As a former Applications Engineer, Tyler has years of experience teaching and demonstrating the powerful CAD and CAM offerings at Hawk Ridge Systems. He has covered everything from basic level courses to advanced topics. He is a Certified SOLIDWORKS Expert, with expertise in SOLIDWORKS, CircuitWorks, SW Electrical, SW Inspection, CAMWorks and more. With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno and a diverse background, Tyler has a robust set of skills. He enjoys bringing the power of SOLIDWORKS to our customers and helping them bring their projects to life.
Tyler is currently the Applications Manager for our California and Nevada engineering team, located out of our Reno, NV office. While not teaching as many class now, you can still find him lending assistance to the other Hawk Ridge Systems instructors. When he’s not using SOLIDWORKS, you will find him enjoying the mountains and snowboarding in nearby Lake Tahoe or off-roading in the desert of Northern Nevada.
