This Hawk Ridge System self paced video series is approximately 13 hours in length and broken up into 16 individual lessons. We provide you with the file sets and videos.



Learning Methodology: Watch each of the course videos first as if it were a lecture. Repeat the steps of the video along with the software and files.

The file sets developed for use in this video series are engine components, sub-assemblies and assemblies for a remote control car.

Your Instructor

David Brown
David Brown

David Brown has over twenty years of industry experience in a wide variety of manufacturing processes and environments designing everything from consumer products, custom millwork, electronic card assemblies, and large steel weldment fabrication. His roles have included Project Coordinator, Applications Engineer, Sales Designer, Shop Supervisor, Project Cost Estimator, Production Technician, and has filled several Team Leadership positions. In addition to industry experience, David has a passion for education and has taught students in elementary, high school, and college level courses, and brings his knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to the classroom.

David is currently a Senior Training Engineer for Hawk Ridge Systems working from Nashville, TN. When he’s not teaching SOLIDWORKS, he's making music.

There is no training manual or pdf included. We recommend you watch the video first as if it were a lecture. Repeat the steps of the videos using the file sets and SOLIDWORKS software and pause and rewind the videos as needed.
Do I need SOLIDWORKS software to take this course?
The video lessons are meant to be repeated and practiced. SOLIDWORKS software is required to practice the content in the course.
Is this a certificate based course?
This is a certificate based course. This course is taught by a Certified SOLIDWORKS Instructor. .This course is designed as a "Getting Started" course to provide you with the fundamental knowledge and know how to use SOLIDWORKS effectively and efficiently.
